Gaming giant 888 have recently announced their exciting plans to buy out Wink Bingo and its affiliates to increase its UK enterprise. The entrepreneurial giant is offering Wink up to £60 million to purchase the popular online gaming company. Wink Bingo is a company with excessive financial status within the UK.
888 is currently owned by Pacific Poker and have said that they are willing to pay Wink’s current owners, Daub, a base price of £11 million along with an added sum following earnings up to march 2011.
Gigi Levy is the Chief Executive of 888 and has said: ‘We are delighted to announce Wink Bingo acquisition as an expansion of our B2C online bingo footprint in the lucrative UK market. The Wink team has a proven track record of excellence in marketing, CRM and execution and will be a good addition to our growing business.’
The 888 headquarters are based in Gibraltar, operates 888.com and also owns Cassava Enterprises. They are already massively successful globally within the online gaming sector and it seems that they are making a lasting impression on the UK front.
Wink bingo is the UK’s leading online bingo and gaming site and runs affiliate companies which are equally as successful such as, Posh Bingo and Bingo Fabulous. In total, Wink had over 60,000 active players throughout October alone. Wink is also operated by Dragonfish, which is also owned by 888.
Wink Bingo was launched in 2008 and has successfully proven time and time again that they are the preferred online bingo site. With dominant advertising campaigns and giant jackpot payouts, it’s no wonder that 888 want to expand their enterprise by purchasing a leading company like Wink. The move would be promising for 888 throughout the UK as well as a massive financial boost. Bingonews.info will keep you updated on the latest news regarding 888’s move.
