Major bingo halls are currently suffering major closures due to rising taxes, the economic climate, the smoking ban and now the threat of spreading illness.

The bingo industry is experiencing a financial crisis and loss due to the rise in unavoidable situations.  The rise is only benefiting the online bingo sites where people can play at their own leisure and feel safe in an environment where the current health scare is minimal.

Mexico and surrounding areas are suffering a massive loss due to the current and media-induced threat of swine flu.  Many bingo halls have had no choice but to close their premises because customers’ are becoming isolated because of the scare and current economy.  The World Health Organization have issued warnings about crowded environments and bingo hall directors can only adhere to the ruling and put their customers’ safety first.

With any luck, the pandemic will not increase and then players can resume their favorite social pastime.
