Foxy Bingo and partners Cashcade have caused enormous controversy amongst its affiliates by reducing payments made to them once a referral of a new customer has been made to their online bingo site.

Online bingo sites such as Thirsk Bingo, Little Big Bingo, Bingo Scotland and Cheeky Bingo are all owned by Foxy and Cashcade, and have recently been informed that all affiliates within the company will only receive a 25% revenue share deal.

The more popular online bingo sites who report more than 250 depositing players will receive a 30% bonus on a monthly basis. The new ruling by Cashcade means that certain sites will lose expenses once deductions have been made. Cashcade are also raising player deposits to a minimum of £20 yet previously they paid referral bonuses on deposits as low as £5.

Benn Starr of Cashcade and Herotech’s company explained the new deal with the associate bingo sites. ‘Don’t shoot the messenger – we have to bring everything we do in line with Party Gaming.’ Party Gaming is the group, which has recently bought out Cashcade and are currently revising its former policies and re-organizing the company. Starr attempted to explain the present situation, which has angered numerous online bingo affiliates.

‘We are proud to announce that Cashcade and Herotech will have a combined affiliate program powered by NetRefer. This has many advantages, A. No invoicing, B. Payment on the 1st of every month, every month. C. Regular updates and new creatives for all brands. D. An affiliate hub for all your reporting needs – flashy graphs broken down by brand.

One of the online bingo affiliates reported to Bingo News that they are not impressed with the latest ruling. ‘I have been absolutely seething since I was told about this. Foxy Bingo and Cashcade have always had a fantastic reputation for treating affiliates well and rewarding them properly for the customers they bring in. This is a real kick in the teeth.

‘What is not clear is whether this is a change in the terms going forward or whether they are going to try and backdate it so that all the players I have referred to them until now will suddenly be reduced to a 25% affiliate commission. If they try and do that then I expect there really will be a riot among affiliates.

It seems to me like typical behaviour of a big company who has acquired a well-run small personal company that deals with people on a personal basis and then just tries to apply a cookie cutter approach to the business.’

The majority of online bingo sites connected with Foxy Bingo and Cashcade are not happy with the new decision and only time will tell if the new policies will be permanently assigned or whether a mutual agreement can be agreed.
