Gala Bingo Lose Numbers

One of the UK’s largest bingo companies have recently announced that they are expected to lay off around two hundred members of its staff. Gala Coral Bingo is facing the closure of at least 6 of their 156 clubs. The decrease could mean 180 or more job losses.

200 members of staff have already lost employment with the bingo giant in November 2008. The group also run the Coral bookmaking chain and currently employs around 19,000 staff. The current closures and redundancies are blamed on the current economy and the after effects of the smoking ban.
 
However, online bingo has seen a sudden increase.
