Gala Coral Announce More Job Losses

The Gala Coral Group has once more announced more job losses from its Headquarters.  45 more people are expected to lose employment within the bingo company. 

The Company’s aim is to integrate the online bingo and land bingo marketing division.  However this means that some employees within the marketing division for land-based bingo will lose their jobs.  The online bingo division is responsible for the bulk of the success of Galabingo.com

The land-based division has already cut 300 jobs this year alone due to closure in bingo halls.  Now staff at Gala Coral has been told that the exercise is to reduce marketing operations, although Galabingo.com will continue as normal.

The recent announcement is a reaction to the pressure of debt.  It has been reported that the company need to pay off GPB 2.5 Billion.  This figure is largely responsible for the company’s recent downfall.

The Gala Coral group is one of the Europe’s biggest gambling businesses, with divisions in bookmaking, bingo and casino.  They are connected with four of the most recognized gaming brands, such as Coral, Gala Casino, Eurobet, and Gala Bingo.
